| Curfew Takes Toll On AfDB Operations In Tunisia
The Country Representative of Africa Development Bank (AfDB) in Nigeria , Mr. John Baffoe, has said that the crisis in Tunisia has affected the operations of the bank.
Baffoe said in an interview in Abuja on Wednesday, that only the directors
and managers of the bank were working, with the banking operation basically shut.
According to him, before the crisis the bank commences operation from 8 a.m. and closes at 6 p.m., but now the bank operates from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
''Security is tight and flights in and out of Tunisia have been cancelled by airlines,'' Baffoe said.
He said that the cancellation of the flights also affected the bank's operations and gave the assurance that now that normalcy was returning to the country; the situation of things would improve.
A people's revolution last month sacked the president of the country, a situation that led to the imposition of curfew on the country.
